ONLINE PUBLIC SPEAKING: INTERPRETATION OF LITERATURE 5-8 yrs: In our public speaking Interpretation of Literature speech course students will learn how to speak with vibrant expression. Students will learn the art of storytelling and bringing life to a piece of literature through their public speaking. Interpretation of Literature is about bringing words to life through performance. In this course, students will learn about Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Prose Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, etc. Students will select a piece of literature they can connect to and learn the skills necessary to enrich the literature with depth and significance. Students will learn all the basic techniques of public speaking. They will learn about the different types and purposes of public speaking. Students will be taught how to craft a well-organized and compelling interpretation of literature speech. This course is highly recommended for shy kids.

This is a great course for students to learn valuable vocal and speaking skills. Students learn to be expressive, use eye contact, gain vocal confidence, and deliver nonverbal communication through gestures and body language.

Students will be taught various ways to overcome and manage stage fear, nervousness, and anxiety. ONLINE PUBLIC SPEAKING: PERSUASIVE SPEECH FOR 9-14 yrs: During our class, the students will have fun while gaining knowledge and exposure to the world of public speaking. We prepare kids to experience a breakthrough and build their confidence. In our Persuasive Speech course, students will learn the art of persuading someone. Students will learn how to convince people to think or behave in a particular way. They will learn the basics of constructing arguments. Since persuasive speech teaches students about claims, logic, and evidence, it is thought of as the foundation for debate education. Students will learn all the basic techniques of public speaking. They will learn about the types and purposes of persuasive speeches. Students will be taught how to craft a well-organized and compelling persuasive speech. Students learn to be expressive, use eye contact, gain vocal confidence, and deliver nonverbal communication through gestures, body language, and movements. They will learn how to connect to others and discover how to be a better friend and a model student in the classroom. DEBATE: Public Forum- 9-14 YRS: 8 -SESSIONS

A public forum is a two-on-two debate where students debate a topic set by the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) every two months within a year. It is competitive and most debaters love competing because they enjoy planning strategies on how to try to outwit their opponents by responding to arguments and questions. It involves a myriad of delivery forms like persuasive, impromptu, and extemporaneous. The objective of a public forum debate is critical and analytical thinking. They will use statistics and numbers, they will learn about controversial issues surrounding our world, and understand different cultures while researching.

In this class, students will learn how to:

Craft and organize a case according to NSDA rules,
conduct in-depth research,
refute and respond to their adversaries,
and, how to have fun at the same time.

Students will learn to analyze a topic by doing historical research, outweigh the good versus the bad, establish their arguments based on what they believe to be superior, and by making it difficult for the opponents to respond. They will also learn how to take good notes thereby making them better listeners as well.

Creative Writing: Apprentice Authors: Introduction to Creative Writing/Narrative Writing and the Art of Effective Communication For 5-8 yrs & 9-14 yrs (8- SESSIONS)
