WINTER 2021 CREATIVE WRITING CLASSES FOR 5-8 YRS AND 9-14 YRS

We aim to make common- core reading and writing accessible to your child. Writing is the biggest and in many ways most challenging focus of the common core. Our class will take away the fear and dread of writing and inspire your child to embrace and enjoy writing. We will teach our students to craft powerful narratives, well laid out informative pieces, and compelling persuasive writing. With our writing courses, your child can find success in all subjects, as writing plays a crucial part in all subject areas. Our common core reading classes, will teach your child effective reading strategies and language conventions, to decode both fiction and non-fiction reading. We will teach your child the critical thinking and analysis skills needed to comprehend fiction and non-fiction. In addition our classes will focus on the development of academic vocabulary, grammar conventions, and spelling. We hope to make your child a clear and articulate communicator.

Apprentice Authors: Introduction to Creative Writing

This Fall 2020 cast a spell on your readers- learn how to write spellbinding stories, poems, and plays! Unleash your inner writer with our narrative writing course! During our 10 -week program, the students will have fun while gaining knowledge and exposure in the world of narrative writing. We will teach you how to grow and nurture the brilliant author within you. Our class will teach you how to structure and craft powerful writing. Students will learn to grow their own unique writing voice and style. We will help you create unforgettable characters, exciting story lines, and memorable details to spice up your writing.
