Jessica Keaton graduated from Young Harris College in 2011 with her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Creative Writing specialty. She completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with specialties in both Creative Nonfiction and Poetry at San Jose State University in 2016. While attending SJSU, she received the Ida Fay Sachs Scholarship for Creative Writing and was also awarded a San Francisco Writer’s Grotto Fellowship. She has been a lecturer at SJSU, teaching both English 1A and Critical Thinking.

Prof. Keaton was incharge of writing web copy, preparing tutorial videos, managing the social media accounts, and generating both paper and digital marketing materials for a startup company producing cloud-based software.

Reed Magazine – San Josè State University – San Jose, CA
Prof. Keaton held a leadership position on the Reed Magazine staff, overseeing marketing, selection, and graphic design teams. She was also part of the Nonfiction editorial staff and head of the Marketing production team.
