Course Features

Annie Daggett has “the Midas touch,” when it comes to children. She brings out the best in every child. She grew up in the Bay Area and attended University of California, Santa Cruz. She too comes from a family of educators. Ms. Daggett got her degree in Women Students and Education at UCSC. She was always passionate to work with children. She started volunteering in K-2nd grade classrooms while she was a student in Santa Cruz. Annie later became a one-on-one aide for a student with autism and a Title 1 aide teaching reading recovery to small groups. Annie got her teaching credential at Notre Dame De Namur University, Belmont, CA.

She has over 12 years of experience teaching elementary school in both Palo Alto Unified School District as well as Los Altos School District. She has passion for teaching language arts, social studies, and science. She is renowned for creating successful student centered environments where children feel both safe to take risks, and challenged. Students and administrators alike love her approach to nurturing every child. Annie’s goal for all students is for them to gain more confidence, a growth mindset, and an understanding that we all grow from a collaborative process. She is uniquely talented in engaging reluctant learners. She is very talented in bringing out creativity in children. She was nominated as “the teacher of year” for her efforts with teaching children writing and public speaking last year.
